Just a few tips and rules for your camping stay.
PLEASE read in full before arrival. (it contains important info you will need!) And pass along to your fellow campers.
We're a small family run business, there's no huge team of colleagues to help, just two parents with 4 kids in tow, so please bear with us and help where you can.
We are really easy to find on GOOGLE MAPS. Just type in Dyfi Adventure Campsite. But if you get lost you can call Sian on 07792819230. Please note we are NOT the caravan site just off the main road. (Apple Maps is wrong and takes you to private property)
Please visit our website for local knowledge on food/drink/shops
There is no on site check in or reception so please let us know when you have arrived even if you've been before by texting the number above. Please quote the name you have booked under.
You can choose any unoccupied mown pitch, these are also signposted by the gate, no need to wait for a response. (Please do not pitch smack next to the toilets/showers this area is mown for you to walk on. Also there is a roped off area near the river on the right of the field. this is for our Glampers and clearly signposted)
There are fire pits on each pitch. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE THESE (Also please do not light fires on the grass)
You should arrive after 12 lunchtime on the day of your arrival if possible, and leave before 11 am on the day of departure. If you need to arrive late that's okay just let me (Sian) know beforehand.
Our whole site is totally off grid so there's no plugs or mains electricity. (We do have solar lighting for facilities)
All our tap water is natural spring water and as such should be boiled before drinking. (Or you can bring your own bottled water)
Fire pits and BBQs are totally fine! Please make sure they are raised off the ground to minimise fire risk. (It has been so dry this year so this is especially important!) Each pitch has a fire pit. Please do not move the fire pits, and do not light any fires on the grass.
We sell logs on site (Big box by the toilets) PLEASE DO NOT BURN WOOD FROM YOUR SURROUNDINGS (Such as trees, fallen branches or dead wood). Not only does it make a huge mess that we end up cleaning, you are destroying natural habitat for local wildlife.
If you're bringing an animal friend then please make sure they are on a lead or contained at all times. (there's a few reasons for this 1. it's not possible for you to always be watching and see where your pet goes to the toilet. 2. Some campers may not wish to be approached by your pet. (some dogs in the past have actually eaten people's food!) 3. We sometimes have rouge sheep in the campsite.) And under no circumstances should they be allowed into the neighbouring farm land.
We now have recycling bins. Please Recycle where possible. CLEAN LOSE RECYCLING ONLY (no bags of waste) The bins are clearly labelled on the lid so make sure you get the right one. Anything else can go in the general waste. The recycling is only taken when it's correct. If things go in the wrong bin they won't take it and we end up paying for it to go to general waste.
We Prefer if people do not leave broken tents/camping furniture etcetera in our bins. These sometimes cost us extra to dispose of and fill our bins before collection which is only every 3 weeks. (these items should really be taken to a recycling centre) So normal household waste only please.
Our campsite borders the river Dyfi which is beautiful! Please keep an eye on your small people.
Fishing is private so not allowed unfortunately.
Quiet nights - we ask all campsite guests to please start winding down by 10pm and whispers only from 11pm . Everyone deserves a good night's sleep on holiday! (And so do our neighbours) Please be aware of other campers/neighbours. Keep noise levels to a minimum where possible (you'll be surprised how far sound can carry!).
Drive slowly through the campsite and also the village (the lane is quite twisty with blind bends and the last thing you want is to come face to face with a tractor while going too fast! Or pedestrians/cyclists for that matter)
Please do not joyride around the campsite. Only use your vehicle when entering or exiting.
You are responsible for yourself and your group. Please take note of the emergency information on your arrival and make sure any other adults in your party have read these rules and tips before your stay commences.
Before leaving please put all rubbish into the bins by the gate (recycle!), and make your pitch is clean and tidy for the next arrivals.
Thanks for reading! (sorry I know it's long!)See you soon!
